The California State University San Marcos Senior Experience Program matches teams of students with projects submitted by local businesses and organizations. Students work as business consultants on rigorous, real-world projects that require teamwork and application of classroom knowledge. Businesses receive concentrated attention from bright, energetic teams who provide a fresh, independent look at their projects. Each student team works under the supervision of a faculty member. At the end of the semester, students formally present their results and a written report to the company. Senior Experience concludes with a trade show featuring each team and project from the recent semester. It is attended by over 500 students, faculty, sponsors,alumni, and community guests. Projects work has exposed students to business challenges all over the world. In 21 years, 6,200 students have completed more than 1,400 projects for about 1,000 local businesses. More information
