Vista Community Clinic Presents the 28th Annual Holiday Homes Tour Vista, CA— Vista Community Clinic’s 28th Annual Holiday Homes Tour will offer visitors the opportunity to get a close-up look at four spectacular private residences in Vista decorated for the holidays and to visit the historic Rancho Buena Vista Adobe. The tour will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 7. Other highlights of the festive event, a benefit for VCC’ Kare for Kids Fund, include a holiday bazaar featuring jewelry, accessories and home décor from local artisans. Visitors will also have the chance to win unique gift baskets. A new attraction at this year’s event is a gourmet food truck offering breakfast and lunch for purchase. Following the tour, wine and hors d’ oeuvres await visitors at Art Beat on Main Street, an art gallery in Vista’s charming downtown. The annual Holiday Homes Tour is a favorite seasonal tradition for hundreds of residents of San Diego and Riverside counties who return year after year to walk through some of the most beautiful private residences in the area. This year’s tour features four beautiful Vista homes with exceptional architectural features, stunning interiors and breathtaking outdoor spaces. Among them is the elegant and modern residence of Jazzercise founder Judi Sheppard Missett and husband Jack. The Rancho Buena Vista Adobe, built in the mid-1800s, is also part of the tour. Talented North County designers will enhance the homes with holiday décor. Teams of community volunteers have assisted in all aspects of event planning, and will serve as docents on the day of the tour. Proceeds from ticket sales and sponsorships of Holiday Homes Tour will benefit VCC’s Kare for Kids Fund to provide medical services to underprivileged children in San Diego North County. Since it was established in 1986, Kare for Kids has provided high quality preventive care such as immunizations and regular checkups, treatment for illness and injury, and health education for conditions such as asthma to children from low income families. Each year, about 11,000 youngsters benefit from the Kare for Kids Fund. “We are grateful to community residents and businesses for their decades of support to our Holiday Homes Tour,” said Fernando Sañudo, Chief Executive Officer of VCC. “The money we raise from the ticket sales and sponsorships helps us provide care to the neediest children in North County.” About Kare for Kids Fund: Each year, more than 11,000 North County children receive high quality pediatric care at Vista Community Clinic, thanks to the Kare for Kids Fund. Featured Homes in the 28th Annual Holiday Homes Tour Thoroughly Modern Jazzercise founder Judi Sheppard Missett and her husband Jack share a home that reflects their love of modern architecture. Airy and awash in natural light, the home has a whitewashed exterior, expansive windows and an open floor plan. The couple has filled their home with mid-century furniture designed by Le Corbusier, Andy Warhol’s pop art and stunning photographs by their son Brandon Missett. Check out the Coca Cola memorabilia, including a dispenser keg, in Judi’s wood-floored dance studio! A lap pool, koi pond with waterfall, metal sculptures designed by Judi and xeriscape of cactus, rocks and succulents come together to create a breathtaking outdoor space. Mediterranean Jewel Stylish and comfortable, Michelle and Keith Berman’s one-level home sits on a carefully chosen lot with spectacular views. The couple undertook a major reconstruction of the house to accommodate the needs of their growing family. Completed in 2013, the project added 1,000 square feet to the home and exceptional features like arched custom windows, walnut wood floors, a living room with beams and an 11-foot eating island in the kitchen. Walls are lined with the art work of Walter Peregoy, Michelle’s grandfather and acclaimed living artist, known for his art work in Disney classics such as 101 Dalmatians and Lady and the Tramp.
