The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sept. 20 at the Northgate González Market, 1150 E. Vista Way, Vista. Admission to the health fair is free and open to the public. Visitors to the VCC booth at Feria de Salud will find information about the clinic’s medical and dental services, and they will have the opportunity to make appointments. Clinic representatives will be available to discuss VCC’s free enrollment assistance program for Covered California and Medi-Cal. The VCC booth will offer health information and interactive programs for the entire family. Visitors to the VCC booth will be able to view the clinic’s all-new website in Spanish and English. The festive Feria de Salud event will feature important education about diabetes prevention and healthy lifestyles. Other event highlights include educational seminars and speakers, exhibitors offering products and services, culinary exhibitions, live music, dance demonstrations, and educational materials in Spanish. Free screenings for diabetes complications such as vision, dental, foot, blood pressure and cholesterol will be available for adults 18 and older.
